AI Agent helps you create drafts, short replies, and ideas directly in chat with the /ai command.
Who qualifies
- •You are signed in to Astral and use a recent web, Windows, or Android build.
- •The Messages & Media -> AI Assistant block is visible in Settings.
- •You have an OpenRouter API key for this device.
If you can see AI Assistant in settings, this build already qualifies.
How to enable
- •Open Settings -> Messages & Media -> AI Assistant.
- •Paste your OpenRouter API Key and change the model if needed.
- •Return to chat and use /ai <your prompt>.

What to know first
Local key
Your OpenRouter API key is stored locally on this device, not in your Astral account.
/ai command
AI Agent works through /ai in chat, without a separate window or extra switching.
If the block is missing
Update the app or use the web build. If AI Assistant still is not visible, your build is not ready yet.
